Interface And Ease Of Use

Both Elementor and Divi have brilliant functionality with well-orchestrated drag-and-drop interfaces. You’re able to create dynamic, smooth and quick websites enticing enough for any viewer to visit. They both also have responsive editing so you can make the site perfectly set for mobile, tablet and computer use. The only thing Divi is lacking in is that it has no pop up builder, which is something Elementor is certainly not lacking in.

Here, Divi blows it out of the water with over two times the amount of templates than Elementor. Where it has over 300 templates, Divi has over 800, making it a clear winner in this department. Divi has more specific templates and a larger number of them, meaning that you’ll definitely find the right one on their site, meaning that there’s no need to even look at the WordPress options.

That being said, WordPress has some absolutely brilliant themes by itself, which is why I find myself using them most of the time regardless. As previously mentioned, Blocksy and Astra are great themes that aren’t a part of either builder, but work great on them anyways.

This round goes to Divi.

Pricing

This is the most interesting category, and it’s most likely going to be a draw. This is because Elementor has a free version while Divi offers a better priced option.

Elementor has a price of 59$ for a yearly plan for one website, 199$ for 25 Pro websites and 399$ for a thousand websites (you can check that offer here). Divi on the other hand has a yearly plan of 89$ for yearly access to the builder, and 249$ for a lifetime access, both with infinite amount of sites you can make with it.

So in this round, if you want free, Elementor wins, and if you’re ready to pay a decent sum, Divi wins.

Customer Service

While Elementor has wider popularity that comes with a larger community and more answers online, Divi has better tech support. Divi has a 24/7 yearly tech support ready to help with any problem you might have. They also have other visual types of help. Elementor only has the email option which, while basic, is nowhere near what Divi has.

This round goes to Divi, but only slightly due to community differences.

In the fight between these site builders, I’d recommend Elementor if you’re on a tight budget and looking to make a site quickly and easily. I’d recommend Divi if you can get the lifetime access and are ready to climb the slightly steeper hill in order to make a fabulous site.

Elementor VS WordPress Blocks (Gutenberg)

I’ve tried both, so I’ll keep this as brief as possible. Gutenberg is constantly improving, and its integration with WordPress is unlike the rest, which offers it some special benefits, but it falls short against Elementor for plenty of reasons.

Interface And Ease Of Use

Gutenberg functions well, albeit sometimes buggy with block placements. It has a very decluttered interface which makes it really simple and great when you want to do something as easy as writing and posting articles. That being said, it strongly lack in additional functions that make the site look more dynamic and smooth, which is something Elementor certainly does not lack. While it has additional functions, most of them are useless.

I know I said that Gutenberg has a decluttered look, but Elementor also looks decently clean, even though it offers more at the same time.

This round goes to Elementor.

Website Speed

Here, Gutenberg comes out on top. It’s simpler format with better integration allows it to function a tenth faster than Elementor, making it a great option for simple sites with a focus on speed. If you want to avoid people’s attention spans from changing locations, WP blocks, aka Gutenberg is a great option. Still, the speed difference isn’t so severe, so don’t let it discourage you from using other builders.

Still, this round goes to Gutenberg.

Bugs And Issues

Gutenberg is riddled with bugs and issues. Some updates have a tendency to break your site, some people find the constantly changing pieces of UI to be a massive issue. If you’re building and selling sites, customers will not like the fact that you’re using Gutenberg and ask you to remove it most of the time, making it a dubious option to say the least.

There is still an overwhelming sea of negative reviews for Gutenberg, so this round easily goes to Elementor.

I’d recommend you use Gutenberg only if you’re making an extremely simple website for yourself. In any other case, Elementor is the stronger option. Gutenberg is also completely free to use, so if you’re tight on budget, it’s a decent option if you don’t want the basic Elementor version.

Negatives Of Elementor

There aren’t any… Is something I’d say if I was a die hard fan of the builder. Unfortunately, it does have some problems that keep it from having a definite top spot.

Bugs And Issues

Sometimes (and I’ve experienced this myself) a block, and especially things within a block refuse to be repositioned and resized in any way, making it a hassle to have to toy around until it works. Oftentimes, it doesn’t work until you change some specification of the object or block, but sometimes it happens due to bugs and glitches.

Some people also complain about long or infinite load times for the UI, making it unusable for some reason. This happens on some rare occurrences on some devices, and is something to keep in mind before you buy the Pro version.

Luckily, such problems are constantly being ironed out, and they don’t happen so often that you’d be mad at it. One thing I like about Elementor is that my site is yet to completely crash due to an update, which is something that can happen when you’re using a builder of any kind.

Speed

Depending on how much knowledge you have and how well you optimize your site, your site can get devastatingly bad, taking more than 5 seconds to load is a mistake people easily tend to make. Try using a simple theme and plugins that increase speed such as A3 lazy load or the NitroPack. My site loads around a second on average, depending on where you’re from, and it is not a hard thing to fix. I’ll probably make an article on that as well in the future (perhaps even a video), get ready for that.

Pricing Could Be Better

Elementor isn’t the cheapest option if you opt in for the Pro version. Many others present greater offers for a similar quality product. While Pro is great, it would be awesome if there was a lifetime option, even if its for a single website. Still, Elementor is worth the price, given the quality and constant improvements it gets.
